The celebrations kick-start with an Aqua Festival, in conjunction with the annual Swimathon fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub next Sunday (April 28, 9am).
Alongside the Swimathon, there will also be Aqua Family Zumba and Duckling sessions for water lovers and badge making, arts & crafts and messy play for those who want to stay on dry land, throughout the day.
Throughout the month, leading up to LiveWire’s birthday, there will be a variety activities across all their sites, including a tennis festival, cricket open day, craft and storytime sessions, outdoor funfair and a wedding show.
Jan Souness, Managing Director of LiveWire, said: “We are proud to be celebrating the success of our first year with the local community and have a busy month planned, full of activities across our three services Leisure, Lifestyles and Libraries to celebrate and showcase the facilities and achievements of LiveWire’s first year.”
To end the celebrations LiveWire will be giving away free party bags and offering 1p activities across all their sites on May 18.
