MORE than 700 runners took part in the second annual Lymm.com 10k race – almost double the number from last year’s inaugral run.
The runners had to compete against strong head wins as they ran through some of the countryside around Lymm village.
Starting and finishing in Lymm High School on Oughtrington Lane, the event also included fun run for children earlier in the day, helping raise funds for Children in Need.
Musical entertainment was provided by the Lymm Concert Band.
Winner of the main event was Ben Fish from Blackburn Harriers in a time of 32:21 with second place going to Tarus Elly in a time of 32:35.
Third place went to Ryan Holroyd from Staffs Moorlands AC in 33:23.
First female to cross the line was Kirsty Longley from Liverpool Pembroke Sefton Running Club in a time of 39:40.
The first to cross the line from Lymm Runners were Jonathan Smith in 40:13 and Madoc Batters in 40:22 who finished 16th and 17th respectively.
