Youth directory gets a makeover

A DIRECTORY offering a range of help for young people in Warrington has been re-launched after a makeover.
The web directory www.warringtonyouth.org is designed for 11 to19-year-olds and for those who work with young people. It provides advice and support on issues such as health, leisure, careers, family, relationships, employment and schools.
It also provides information for young people with special needs and lists ways they can get support in and around Warrington.
The Families Information Service held a launch event at Orford Youth Base which was attended by young people and representatives of local organisations who work with them.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, (pictured right) the borough council’s executive member for children and young people’s services, said: “This is an amazing resource which we hope young people will take advantage of.
“It’s been revamped to bring together information from across the council about all the great services offered and so it’s also a brilliant tool for those working with young people or youth groups.”
