POLICE at Warrington have stepped-up patrols following a series of incidents of indecent exposure in a popular park.
The unknown flasher has exposed himself to three women in separate incidents in Sankey Valley Park.
Police investigating the possibility the same man may be responsible for all three incidents – and appealing for information from the public.
Inspector Rob Dickinson, of Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We have stepped up patrols in the area to actively target those responsible and to reassure the local community.
“Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries and we would urge anyone with any information in relation to the incidents, which might assist officers with their enquiries, or anyone who knows the identity of the offender or offenders to get in touch.
“We are advising members of the public to be vigilant when walking alone in the area and to stick to well-lit areas and report any suspicious activity immediately.”
The first incident took place March 10 when a 16-year-old girl, walking near the Spider’s Web saw a man exposing himself. She was left shaken, and fled the scene, reporting the matter to police when she got home.
The man was aged around 20 and was wearing dark coloured jeans and a white hooded top, which had red stripes running down the front.
On March 14, a 45-year-old woman was walking near the bandstand when she saw a man exposing himself. He was on a bicycle and cycled off from the area.
He was said to be about 30, 5ft 10 inches tall and of slim build. He had a beard.
The third incident took place on March 16.
A 53-year-old woman was driving along Sankey Way when she saw a man standing near to bushes at the side of the park with his buttocks exposed.
He was of medium build, with thick black hair and was wearing cream coloured trousers and a bright blue jacket.
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers hot line on 0800 555 111.
