An enchanted tree for Easter

A HUGE enchanted tree will be the centre of all free family fun activities at Warrington’s Golden Square shopping centre this Easter.
Children visiting the centre will be invited to decorate a polystyrene ‘craft egg’; to either take home or hang on the four metre high tree.
Father of three Ian Cox, who is the general manager of Golden Square said: “The impressive fairytale tree is set to be a real focal point throughout the Easter holidays and we are as excited as the children to see all the colourful eggs being hung up during the holidays.”
Throughout the two-week school holiday there will be numerous activities taking place, starting off with creating windmills on April 8, when children will be encouraged to colour in and play out with their whirly creations.
On April 9, children will be invited to personalise pot plants and on April 10, bird boxes will fly into the centre for an Easter makeover.
Insect glider kits will help to create a “buzz” in the centre on April 11, before kids get twittering and decorate lightweight polystyrene birds on April 12 and bug boxes on April 13.
The activities form part of the ever-popular Get Creative campaign, which aims to plug the gap in funding cuts to arts services in the Warrington area.
Mr Cox added: “The school holidays are always hard to fill with fun and free family activities but Golden Square has everything parents and kids need to get creative together, and for no additional cost.”
