Town centre roadworks start

RESURFACING work on roads and footpaths in the centre of Warrington have started and will continue until the end of May.
Work will involve resurfacing Rylands Steet, Suez Street and a section of Cairo Street in the Cultural Quarter. They will be renewed in the same manner and style as nearby Museum and Bold Streets.
The work will be carried out in sections to keep disruption to a minimum. It will be carried out between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday and diversions will be in place when roads will need to be closed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained as far as possible. Local bus services will be affected.
The work will be suspended and equipment cleared away next week, so there is no disruption to the civic event planned on Saturday March 16 to mark the 20th anniversary of the IRA bombing of Warrington town centre.
