Pupils celebrate success

TWO pupils from Penketh High School, Warrington, are celebrating educational successes in their chosen fields.
Year 13 pupil Bevan Mullineux has been offered a place on the BA Honours Acting course at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). More than 600 students auditioned for the nationally-renowned course, and Bevan was one of the 30 chosen.
Bevan said: “I was very shocked when I got told that I had a place on the course as this is something that I’ve always wanted to do. I’m really looking forward to furthering my acting skills and hopefully pursuing a career in screen acting.”
There was also success for Year 11 pupil Tinita Wyatt, who has been nominated to receive an award at the Education Achievement Celebration Event in Huddersfield. This is the second year running that Tinita will receive an award following her Achievement in Education success last year.
She said: “I am really happy to be nominated to receive an award again this year. I have worked very hard and I’m delighted that it’s been recognised. I’m really looking forward to the awards ceremony.”
