NEARLY 700 people attended a Jobs Fair at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, organised by Warrington South MP, David Mowat.

A total of 26 organisations, ranging from Warrington Borough Council to United Utilities were on hand to offer careers advice and to spot talented people. A number of seminars throughout the day helped people with interview techniques and advice on apprenticeships
Feedback from job hunters and employers was positive and suggested that a dozen positions were offered on the spot, with a further 238 people given follow-up appointments.
Commenting on the event David said: “I am grateful to everyone who came along and made this event a success.
“I hope that all those people who turned up were able to get something out of it, whether it be a job offer, a follow-up appointment or just a useful piece of advice that will help them with future applications.”
