A49 roadworks get under way

0

WORK has resumed on installing a new medium pressure gas main on the A49 Wilderspool Causeway, near its junction with Loushers Lane.
National Grid started work last summer in Knutsford Road, Wash Lane and Loushers Lane, to its junction Wilderspool Causeway.
Now – timed to coincide with the school half-term holidays – it is continuing on the Causeway.
Temporary four-way traffic lights have been installed at the junction and will be in place for about two weeks while the new main is connected to an existing one.
The lights will be manually operated between 7am and 7pm to minimise disruption to traffic.
