Police probe arson attack on cars

POLICE are investigating after fire broke out involving two cars in Capesthorne Road, Warrington.
Fire crews were called to the scene and used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
Afterwards, a fire service spokesman said it was believed the fire might have been started deliberately and appealed for information from the public.
They urged anyone who could help to call the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111 with information.
In a separate incident, two fire engines and a hydraulic platform were called on Valley Court, Orford after fire broke out in a first floor flat.
The blaze involved a washing machine and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus use hose reel jets to extinguish it. A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the premises. No-one was hurt
