St Rocco's launch corporate challenge

FIRMS in Warrington are being asked to sign up for a Corporate Challenge being run by St Rocco’s Hospice.
The charity is inviting companies to join in and have fun whilst raising money for the hospice. To kick start the process each firm taking part will be given £50 to start their fundraising – and the challenge is to see what it can amount to over the year.
The challenge will run throughout the year and culminates in a fantastic gala dinner and awards ceremony, where awards will be made recognising individual and collective achievements.
So far more than 30 companies have signed up including RBS, United Utilities, Touchline, Sharples, Barclays and Big Storage.
It costs almost £3 million each year to keep St Rocco’s running and providing care to thousands of hospice patients and their families across Warrington. Future plans include the development of a communal area for patients and families to be together at a difficult time in their lives.
Graham Roberts, chief executive of Assura Group (which sponsors the challenge) said: “The St Rocco’s Corporate Challenge is a great initiative which we are proud to be supporting. We are hoping all the companies involved will really pull out all the stops to turn their £50 into a fantastic amount of money for this worthy cause.”
Anyone interested in joining the challenge should contact Vanessa at St Rocco’s on 01925 575780.
