WARRINGTON Town FC are delighted to announce that despite another day of heavy snow over the weekend, the club’s 3G training pitches are back open for business, thanks to the hard work of club officials and staff.
The facility at the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium was closed on Friday afternoon until Monday morning with around 4 inches of snow covering the surface.
Late yesterday (Monday) afternoon, the pitches were declared open again after club secretary Chris Henshall, community officer James Standing and volunteer coach Stuart Waldron managed the clear the snow to ensure sessions could go ahead.
James commented: “It was hard work for the three of us but it needed to be done. We have already lost three days of use not to mention our regular users who have been missing their slots.”
To book a slot on the 3G pitches or to join either the Thursday or Sunday night league’s you can contact James on 07714571452 or email [email protected]
