Fire at plastics factory

A FIRE involving a plastic moulding machine sent three fire engines to industrial premises at Woolston, Warrington.
The blaze was at MB Plastics, Forward Works in Bridge Lane.
Fire engines from Warrington, Birchwood and Stockton Heath were involved in the operation.
Firefighters isolated power supplies and two men wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to cool machinery.
A thermal imaging camera was use to locate hot spots which were tackled using a hose reel jet. The whole affecteed area was
dampened down.
In a separate incident, a fire engine from Widnes went to Park Road, Lingley Green, Great Sankey after fire was reported on
open land. They used a hose reel to extinguish blazing rubbish in a brazier.
