Reid brings in experience

WARRINGTON Town have strengthened their squad with experience following the signing of former Colwyn Bay player manager Jon Newby and midfielder David Mannix.
Warrington born striker Newby aged 34, started his career with Liverpool, making several first team appearances after winning the FA Youth Cup in 1996.
He was loaned out to Crewe eventually ending up at Bury. Other clubs include Huddersfield Town, Morecambe and Northwich Victoria.
Mannix aged 27, is a product of Liverpool Football Club’s Academy, and played regularly for the reserves, making over 60 appearances and was one of the youngest ever players to play for Liverpool reserves when he was 15.
Mannix was a youth England international at under 15/16, 17 and 20 levels gaining 15 caps in total.
Previous clubs include Accrington Stanley, Chester City and Vauxhall Motors.
Welcoming both players to Warrington Town manager Shaun Reid said: “Both players will bring a wealth of experience to the club at an important stage in the season.”
The signings follow on from the recent additions of former Warrington Town striker Mike Heverin, 33, who made his third debut for the club last weekend after previously scoring 94 goals during two spells spanning fours season between 2000-2005 and former Mansfield Town, Morecambe and Nantwich Town Midfielder Fraser McLachlan, aged 30.
