It was discovered the dog – which had been running in the woods, had stepped on a sharp branch which had gone through its hind leg.
The animal was sedated and firefighters then cut through the branch using specialist tools. The dog was taken to a vet’s surgery where the remaining part of the branch was removed.

Specialist tools??? The mind boggles. Good that the dog is ok.
Was the branch’s bark worse than his bite?
