A BITTERSWEET comedy based on the lives of six close friends bonded by triumphs and tragedies is being performed in Warrington.
The Bridgewater Players are staging Steel Magnolias (directed by Ian Hornby) from Thursday November 15 to Saturday November 17 at Thelwall Parish Hall.
The original play by Robert Harling was the basis of the 1989 film adaptation starring Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley Maclaine, Darryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, and Julia Roberts.
It tells of six friends who share each other’s strength and loyalty. They survive the cycles of life, birth and death to emerge stronger, closer and still laughing.
Tickets are priced £5 adults and £4 for children, and are available by calling 0845 331 2958, from Thelwall Post Office or via email: [email protected]
Season tickets for the forthcoming season are now available at £13.50 for the three plays.
