Man found collapsed mystery

POLICE are appealing for information after a young man was found collapsed in Warrington after suffering a serious head injury late on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old man was found at 11.10pm on Friday (28 September) in Winwick Street at the junction of Crown Street near the bus station.
The man who is local to the area ? was taken to Warrington Hospital with a serious head injury. He was later transferred to Walton Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries over the course of the weekend ? including viewing CCTV footage and carrying out house-to-house enquiries ? in a bid to establish the circumstances of the incident.
He had been out socialising with friends that evening and was last seen at a house in Rolleston Street. He left the house and was seen walking along Midland Way.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious but police are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened or has seen the young man to come forward.
DC Carl Davis said: “We are trying to piece together as much information as possible with regards to the movements of the young man and are urging anyone who has witnessed what happened or has seen him in the area around that time to come forward.
“We are not treating the incident as suspicious and we strongly believe that his injuries are as the result of an accident. But we would like to speak to as many people as possible to try and establish the circumstances of the incident and the events leading up to it.”
The young man is of mixed race, proportionate build and around 5? 10″ tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers.
