Helping hand on careers advice

YOUNG people will be offered a helping hand on their future careers at a special event being held in Warrington.
The event, called Your Future, Your Choice, Move on, is for those aged 16 to 24. There will be information on education, employment and training opportunities in the town.
It will be on Thursday October 4 at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub from 1pm-4pm.
The council’s careers service is hosting the event for people who are looking for training opportunities or job vacancies. Local businesses will be supporting it and there will be advice on career options, CV’s and filling in application forms.
Cllr Terry O’Neill, (pictured) leader of the council, said: “Working together with the business sector to provide young people with training and employment advice and opportunities is high on our agenda.
“This is a great opportunity for young people who are still deciding about their next steps to come along and find out what’s on offer and get some expert, professional advice and support about their future.”
Every young person who attends will be entered into a free prize draw to win I-Tunes vouchers, LiveWire leisure passes and much more.
