Health Trust's annual meeting

THE annual meeting of NHS Cheshire, Warrington and Wirral will be held in public on Wednesday September 5 at 11am in Chester.
Purpose of the meeting is to present the annual reports which look back over the financial year 2011-2012 and forward to future developments in the local NHS.
Primary Care Trusts will cease to exist next April, when their responsibilities pass to a number of organisations – the Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (WCCG), the NHS Commissioning Board and Warrington Borough Council.
WCCG is already up and running and will take on full responsibility for most of the local NHS health budget in April 2013.
An NHS spokeswoman said: “Before Primary Care Trusts are finally abolished, they have been grouped into clusters – with NHS Warrington grouped with NHS Western “Cheshire, NHS Wirral and Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust.
However, NHS Warrington is still a statutory organisation and, as such, is required to hold an Annual Meeting at which it presents its annual report and accounts for 2011-2012.”
The annual report includes summary financial statements but the Primary Care Trust is also required to publish its full accounts which must also be made publicly available. Copies of the full accounts can be obtained from Iain Crossley, chief finance officer (designate), NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group, e-mail: [email protected]
The annual meeting will take place in Rooms A and B of the 1829 Building, Countess of Chester Health Park, Chester, CH2 1HJ.
