TWO men were rescued from fast flowing water at a pumping station in Warrington as the town was again hit by heavy rain.
Three fire engines from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Knutsford and a specialist rope rescue team were involved in the operation at the pumping station on Pool Lane, Lower Walton.
Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of two men being trapped by fast flowing water.
The specialist rescue team was deployed on a raft to assist with the safe recovery of the trapped men.
Emergency crews from the Environment Agency and electricity company were also at the scene.
The men escaped serious injury.
Fire crews also dealt with a flooding incident effecting the electrics at a property on Camsley Lane, Thelwall.
The ground floor of the building was heavily flooded and crews isolated the electrical supply before using a light, portable pump to help remove water from the premises and helping with salvage operations.
In another incident, firefighters used an extinguisher to put out a fire involving an abandoned motor cycle in bushes at Peel Hall Park, off Blackbrook Avenue, Warrington.
