Wolves squad for Saints clash

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has announced his 19 man squad to make their first trip to St Helens’ new home ground on Monday evening when they travel to Langtree Park kick off 8pm.
Centre Chris Bridge and loose forward Ben Harrison and young half back Gareth O’Brien are the most notable absentees as the Wolves bid to avenge their home defeat earlier in the season, with three points currently separating the two sides sitting in second and third spot in the table.
Wolves’ prop Paul Wood said: “It’s going to be a really even contest between two dominant forward packs. Saints have James Roby to play well off the back of that and they also have the size and pace out wide, very similar to ourselves so it’s going to be an even match and hopefully prove to be a good game.
“The Warrington away fans can make it like a home game though when we go to Saints. There is that much interest in the game I’m sure it’ll be a packed-out stadium and is going to be a good occasion with some fireworks on the field and plenty of singing in the stands.”
