Council chief on power and leadership

CHIEF executive of Warrington Borough Council, Professor Steven Broomhead, is to speak at a special Frontrunner course for disabled university students today.
Run by Common Purpose, in association with Santander, the course aims to help students to feel empowered and develop the skills and knowledge to become leaders in work and in society.
Professor Broomhead will be speaking about power and leadership at the event in Liverpool, drawing on his own experiences in the public and private sector, and sharing his views about power and how individuals can use it to bring about positive change.
Ethan Ohs, Frontrunner Director for Common Purpose, said: “Through the inspiration and insight they gain on the Frontrunner course from Steven Broomhead and others, the students will develop both their ability to lead and their sense of responsibility for the world around them, becoming more employable and better able to create their own opportunities.”
