Golden Square manager Ian Cox said: “We’re delighted to once again host the main stage for the Warrington Music Festival at the shopping centre’s Old Market Place and look forward to welcoming a wealth of local musical talent.
“It’s a great opportunity to get the community involved and enjoying all different types of great music and performances from bands across our region.”
This year there will be an additional two venues for the festival.
There will be a special youth carnival event on the Town Hall lawn which will see lots of fun activities including a fun fair and electronic dance tent, dance workshops and events from 12 noon to7.30pm.
Third venue will be Warrington Market, which have brass bands, lots of music performances and a special appearance by Titan the Robot in the morning.
In the afternoon from 3pm there will be a special Youth Café event at the Market which will feature young acoustic performances from local talented songwriters and performers until 9.30pm.
One of the organisers, Stephen Oates, said: “Over the past six years Warrington Music Festival has encouraged some great local bands to grow and the event just gets bigger and better every year.
