Chemical spillage

EMERGENCY services were called to Chester Road, Warrington after chemicals leaked from a tanker lorry.
Fire crews stood by last night (Thursday) and police controlled traffic until a specialist contractor reached the scene to remove the chemical from the road surface.
The substance was classed as a “low hazard” and there was no danger to people in the area.
