THE winner and runner-up of this year’s Warrington Young Musician competition will perform at the final free lunchtime concert of the season at the town centre Holy Trinity Church.
‘Cellist Rachel Rachel Hoffman, who narrowly won the competition in March and pianist Thomas Kelly, who came second, will share the recital on Saturday, July 7, starting at 12.30pm.
Organisers, the Warrington Arts Council Initiative for the Development of Music (WACIDOM), say both the young musicians gave virtuoso performances at the competition at Arley Hall.
The free concert will give local music lovers an opportunity to appreciate the high standards achieved by the young people who compete in the bi-annual competition.
