SUMMER is being celebrated in Warrington with a month of free musical events to get people ready for the town’s annual music festival.
From Saturday June 16 until Sunday July 8 there will be a series of Warm Up Weekends in Golden Square Shopping Centre. A mix of local and international talent, with a range of musical styles will perform in the Old Marketplace.
Centre manager Ian Cox said: “It’s been a very exciting year already for Warrington and we just want to continue with the celebrations.
“We want to provide our customers with a fantastic summer experience whilst paying tribute to all the amazing creative talent that is available right here in Warrington.”
Among those performing are solo guitarist and vocalist Tony Urchin, jazz musicians Power Duo, soul R&B and pop combo Fuentes Piano & Voice and former buskers Shades and Mowhalk.
