WARRINGTON’S favourite charity – St Rocco’s Hospice – have been given a major boost to their fundraising.
Healthcare property company the Assura Group has nominated them as charitable partners for the coming year.
St Rocco’s has been established in Warrington for 25 years and provides specialist care and support for patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Assura will be working alongside St Rocco’s as their corporate sponsor for a Dragon Boat Race taking place on the River Mersey in August and will also send a team to assist with the development of the hospice’s gardens.
Claire Houghton, St Rocco’s fundraising manager, said: “We’re really encouraged by the partnership with Assura, especially in support of such a popular and enjoyable event as the Dragon Boat Race.”
Andrew Darke, managing director of Assura Property, said: “During a recent visit to the hospice, we were so impressed and humbled at the work of St Rocco’s in providing invaluable support to the Warrington community. The team at Assura is very much looking forward to getting involved.”
