STUDENTS from Priestley College took the gift of music to the Mayor of Warrington’s civic reception.
A choir of 15 students was asked to perform at the event held at Walton Hall by Cllr Mike Biggin after he heard previous performances by the group.
Contemporary arrangements of Imagine by John Lennon, Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys and Like A Prayer by Madonna featured in the performance.
Cllr Biggin presented the students with gifts as a personal thank you for their efforts.
Mark Edgington, the college’s musical director said: “It is always a pleasure to perform at external events, especially when we’ve been personally requested by the Mayor.
“The event was arranged to celebrate all that is good about Warrington so it was a proud moment for the college to take part.”

  1. I’ve heard this choir perform previously and their ‘quality’ is excellent -their musical director is a true proffessional and deserves the credit for his hard and tireless work in producing a fine choir!
