WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir hit all the right notes when they won the prestigious Majestic male voice choir competition in Torquay.
The victory earned them £3,000 in prize money and a magnificent Waterford Crystal style trophy.
Head adjudicator Peter Davies described the choir as one of the top four male voice choirs in the country.
It was a true team effort against still opposition from all over the country.
But special credit goes to musical director Russell Paterson and accompanist Tony Whittaker.
A registered charity, the choir, formed in 1900, helps raise tens of thousands of pounds each year for local good causes.
The choir will be singing in Warrington town centre when the Olympic torch arrives on May 31 and are performing at the Parr Hall on Saturday April 21.
When the Queen visits Warrington in May, the choir will be singing at a Royal occasion.
