WARRINGTON’S Euro MP Brian Simpson took a look behind the scenes at the town’s award winning bus company Network Warrington.
Brian, who is Chair of the EU Transport and Tourism Committee visited the bus company to hear about the it’s modernisation programme and future developments.
David Squire, Managing Director said: “It was wonderful to meet Brian, his interest and depth of knowledge of transport in general and public transport in particular is impressive and he enjoyed his visit immensely, particularly when he saw our heritage double-decker which we hire out for wedding parties.”
During his visit he met Chair Maureen Banner and the executive directors, and inspected a brand new Wright Streetlite demonstration bus that had just arrived from Northern Ireland.
He was presented with a model of a Network Warrington bus as a memento of the occasion.
