WARRINGTON Borough Council, and the two other Cheshire authorities who jointly own the Connexions youth advice service, have confirmed that a service will continue following the company going into administration.
Current services to young people will continue until the end of March and the three councils will then pick up the delivery of services in-house.
The demise of the Connexions service was reported by Warrington-Worldwide yesterday.
A spokesperson for the three councils said the majority of Connexions staff would be taken on by the councils to ensure continuity of support to young people.
“It is always difficult when an organisation moves into administration but all three authorities are working closely together to secure services that are sustainable and of good quality for young people.”
The three councils are working closely with the administrators and Connexions staff to ensure a smooth transition to new arrangements.
