Vandals go on the rampage

VANDALS went on the rampage at Orford, Warrington, early today, starting a string of wheelie bin fires in three different roads.
Four bins were torched in Statham Avenue, one in Concorde Place and one in Grasmere Avenue.
None caused damage to property – but fire crews were kept busy from 4am dealing with the incidents.
There was little doubt the fires were started deliberately, nor that they were all started by the same hooligans.
Later today, firefighters will be targeting the area with warnings to residents about where wheelie bins should be kept.
The message is that where possible they should be stored out of sight, but not close to property.
