Planners to inspect home extension

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington are to visit the site of a proposed home extension after hearing of objections from neighbours.
The proposed two storey side and rear extension at the house in Victoria Avenue, Grappenhall, was thrown out by planners last year.
But it has been scaled-down and resubmitted – and officers are recommending it be approved.
The borough council’s planning committee was told there had been four objections from neighbours concerned about overdevelopment of the site, loss of light, loss of parking spaces, etc.
Officers argued that the extension would not oppressive or overbearing and “massing” had been reduced when compared with the previous application.
A condition could be attached requiring provision of off-street parking.
But councillors decided they would carry out a site inspection before reaching a decision.
