Half-term fun at the Youth Café

YOUNG people across Warrington enjoyed the activities on offer over the half term holiday at the town centre Youth Café.
A wide range of events were available and the number of young people attending exceeded expectations.
Over the course of the week young people came along to meet their friends and participated in photography, cartoon drawing, postcard art, Zumba, and even tried out a climbing wall.
The evening events included the hugely popular “live lounge” acoustic evening (pictured) which saw local young people performing to a very enthusiastic audience, a packed out Blind Date style event and the successful launch of “The Bright Unknown” art project.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, the borough council’s executive member for children and young people’s services, said: “It’s fantastic that Warrington’s young people are enjoying and taking full advantage of everything their youth café has to offer.
“Not only is it somewhere our young people can safely meet and socialise, but they can try new things and learn new skills. I’ve no doubt the youth café will continue to go from strength to strength and I look forward to following it’s progress.”
