THE Helping Hands Changing Lives initiative at Warrington took seven pensions out for a Christmas lunch – thanks to the Waterside pub and grill.
Each year, the pub hosts a campaign called “No one eats alone” where they give three-course meals to people who may spend Christmas alone.
It is the second year that Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC has been invited to the Waterside by mine host Jane Kelly.
Carol Kilgannon, from Helping Hands Changing Lives, said: “It was such a lovely atmosphere and to see our pensioners enjoying a wonderful, cooked three course meal and good company and conversation was amazing.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude t0 the pub. Throughout the year we work with some of our town’s most vulnerable people and seeing people’s kindness like this just really gives the true meaning of Christmas.”
