RESIDENTS of Barchester’s Westvale House Care Home in Old Hall, Warrington got in the Christmas spirit by wrapping up warm and hopping aboard a minibus to visit Bents Garden Centre in Culcheth, Warrington.
Residents and staff were joined by family and friends and had a brilliant time going up and down the isles taking in all the spectacular themed displays, choosing their favourite decorations and there was even a little surprise when they bumped into Santa along the way!
Activities co-ordinator Joanne Sherwood, who accompanied residents said: “We absolutely love being able to take our residents out and about, Bents was an easy choice for us, it just has everything! It has been a fantastic day and we’ve all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
Tom, a resident said: “We have all had the most wonderful time visiting Bents – it is amazing how big the place is! So much hard work must go in to creating it. It has made us all feel so Christmassy!”
