Drink and drugs survey

A SURVEY focusing on drug and alcohol issues at Warrington comes to an end on February 29 and Town Hall chiefs are urging residents not to miss out on making a contribution.
The survey is being carried out by the Centre for Public Health at Liverpool John Moores University, on behalf of Warrington Drug and Alcohol Action team, which is responsible for delivering drug and alcohol services in the town.
Council officers want to know which issues are most important to residents to help shape future services in the community.
University researchers have been quizzing people in the town centre, although this part of the survey has now been completed.
But it is still possible for local people to get involved by visiting www.warrington.gov.uk/consultation where they will be re-directed to the Liverpool John Moores website to share their views confidentially.
People’s individual survey answers will not be shared with Warrington Borough Council and can be completed anonymously. The council will only see the final summary results and people won’t be identified as taking part in the survey.
Cllr Pat Wright (right) , the borough council’s executive member for health and wellbeing and adult services, believes the survey offers an important opportunity for people to help shape the future of drug and alcohol services in Warrington.
She saidWe are committed to improving services for people who need them but we also want to do all we can to protect people from drug or alcohol related harm.”
The results will help the team to understand which issues are most important to people living, working and visiting Warrington and help them to plan future services to ensure they are providing what people want.

  1. It may be nice and simple but it is a poor survey, it insists on a minimum numbers of options in the multiple choice questions.

For example ( I am paraphrasing) “Which three measure would help……?” I only think two will work but I had to pick a third which I think would be a waste of time.
