A WOMAN falsely obtained more than £3,600 in benefit, magistrates heard at Warrington.
Nicola Fryer, aged 28, of Hawthorne Grove, Latchford, Warrington, pleaded guilty to failing to inform the borough council that her partner was living with her and was in full time employment.
The court was told the woman was overpaid housing and council tax benefit totalling £3,617.84.
She was ordered to repay the money, sentenced to a 12 month community order to undertake 100 hours unpaid work, and ordered to pay £100 costs.
Adrian Webster, the council’s benefits manager, said: “All benefit theft is crime. There are no exceptions and that is why the council is determined to bring fraudsters to justice.”

Throw her out of her council funded house and let her look after herself like we all have to do.
