Group aims to combat loneliness

A NEW group aimed at combating the loneliness faced by those caring for young children has been started in Warrington.
Helen Johnson and her friend Mariska Berveling created the new group called Meet Ups for Parents and Carers in Warrington.
Helen said: “Our aim is to get as many parents and carers out and about with their little ones as often as possible. Being a parent can be a lonely time and we understand this.
“Currently we meet in local play centres but as the weather improves we will be doing park meet ups, days out, etc. Where possible we source reduced or free entry for our members making it more affordable too.”
