Rotary's recipe for success

A GROUP of 14 young chefs took part in a gruelling cookery competition at St Gregory’s High School, Warrington.
The youngsters from seven schools were competing in the district round of the Rotary Young Chef Competition 2012.
The year 10 pupils had to prepare a three-course meal to put before professional chefs. Taking part were two St Gregory’s pupils Helena Lawton and Matthew Doherty, with Matthew winning through tot he regional finals with his rack of lamb dish.
The standard of competition was high and Chantel Kelly (sponsored by the Rotary Club of Douglas Bay) and Matthew Doherty (sponsored by the Rotary Club of Warrington) were chosen to go through to the regional competition in Northwich on March 17.
