A WARRINGTON-based charity has joined froces with a PR agency to create a joint apprenticeship to mark National Apprentice Week.
Deafness Support Network (DSN), of Wilson Patten Street, and Chester agency de Winter PR have appointed their first apprentice, Hayley Griffiths, 18, as office and fundraising assistant.
She will divide her time between the two organisations learning a range of skills. At DSN she will focus on marketing and fundraising and at de Winter she will be supporting the communications office.
DSN operations executive Gill Reeder said: “Hayley will play an important role at DSN assisting our fundraising manager Angela Burrows to maximise fundraising opportunities.
“This is a really exciting collaboration and we’re thrilled to be working alongside de Winter to provide a young person with a varied and unique role.”
Hayley will train for the role with the support of West Cheshire College as part of the apprenticeship scheme.
She said: “I’m really happy to have been given such a great opportunity and I can’t wait to start my apprenticeship working within these two brilliant organisations.”
