Recycling site to close

A BUSY recycling bring site at Warrington is to close at the end of the month to make way for development.
The site at the Birchwood Shopping Centre on Dewhurst Road is need for redevelopment of the shopping centre.
A number of textile and shoe recycling containers will remain within the grounds of the shopping centre, near to entrances One and Three, but all other recycling facilities will no longer be available.
Residents are being asked not to leave any waste at the site from Tuesday, January 31.
A number of alternative sites are available, including glass, can and textile containers at the Nelsons Quarter Deck pub in Admirals Road, glass, can, card and textiles at the Jolly Falstaff pub in Padgate and at the community recycling centre at Woolston, where a wide range of materials can be recycled.
A borough council spokesperson said: “Residents should also not forget to use their blue bins at home to recycle, glass bottles, paper, card and plastic bottles.”
