A two-vehicle collision on Birchwood Way resulted in a full road closure this afternoon (Thursday) as firefighters worked to release one trapped casualty.
Fire crews from Warrington and Birchwood were in attendance at the two-vehicle road traffic collision.
A full road closure was put in place on Birchwood Way while firefighters worked with paramedics to free one casualty from a car.
A Cheshire Police Spokesperson confirmed: “At around 2.50pm today, Thursday 3 October, police were called to reports of a collision involving a blue Honda Jazz and a white Ford Transit van on Birchwood Way, Warrington.
Officers are in attendance at the scene and road closures are in place.
“The driver of the Honda, a woman, sustained injuries as a result of the collision and is being treated by paramedics.”
