Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving at fatal car meet

OFFICERS investigating a fatal collision at a car meet event in Warrington more than two years ago have charged a man in relation to the incident.

Mason Hodgson has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

The 23-year-old of Glen Road, Morley, is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Tuesday 15 October.

The charge relates to a collision between a car and a pedestrian which occurred at a car meet on Kingsland Grange, Warrington at 9.40 pm on Sunday 10 April 2022.
The pedestrian, 20-year-old Sam Harding from Stockport, died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the incident.
