TWO fire crews were called out following reports of a chimney fire at a property in Stockton Heath, caused by a bird’s nest.
At 15:40 yesterday, Friday, crews from Lymm and Birchwood were called to reports of a fire at a property on Grappenhall Road.
Firefighters used chimney rods to remove debris from a chimney that had caught fire at a property in Stockton Heath.
The fire was caused by a bird’s nest falling down the chimney after a fire was lit. Crews also used thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots and utilised a snake camera to monitor the loft cavity, where more nesting material was discovered and removed.
