Witnesses sought after road crash

POLICE are seeking witnesses of a road accident at Warrington in which a 48-year-old motor cyclist was injured.
The crash was in Manchester Road, Woolston at about 6pm last night (Tuesday) and involved the motor cyclist and a silver Mercedes.
Police closed the road in both directions and there were major traffic hold-ups.
The car driver was unhurt, but the motor cyclist was admitted to hospital with hip and pelvis injuries.
