New bin wagons roll into town

WARRINGTON Borough Council has taken delivery of three new refuse collection vehicles.
They will replace older, existing vehicles which are becoming uneconomical to operate, and will be used to empty residents black’ wheeled domestic waste bins.
Five more new refuse collection vehicles are to arrive later on this year.
These will create a new fleet to replace the older vehicles.
Waste collection crews have undertaken intensive training on the new vehicles with the aim of providing efficiencies across the service which will ultimately result in financial savings for Warrington.
Cllr David Keane, the council’s executive member for environment and public protection, said: “These three new refuse collection vehicles signal the first stage of our fleet replacement programme and our commitment to invest in and provide quality front line services to the residents of Warrington.”

  1. hey do you still use workmen to load them over here in surfers paradise they just have a driver and he operates controls that pick up the bin empty it and put it back in the same place you are so far behind the times

  2. New vehicles? Where is the Council Coat of Arms promised by Councillor O’Neill? I can only see the two ticks logo from this picture. Are we not pround of our heritage that we have to replace it by some unimportant “logo”? Another promise not fulfilled!!!
