WHEN will the heatwave in Warrington come to an end and is this the last blast of Summer?

The sun has been beaming down on the town all day on Friday with cloudless skies and the temperatures creeping up to the high 20s Centigrade – well above the seasonal average for early autumn.
By 5pm on Friday, the mercury in the town had risen to 25C, with a car’s dashboard sensor recording 27C due to sun loading.
Outdoor spaces outside pubs and restaurants were bustling as people made the most of the late sun after work.
While it has felt more summer-like than August itself, many residents will be wondering when the mini heatwave is about to end.
Earlier in the week, the weather was much cooler and the skies were grey and gloomy as if autumn was already here.
And with some trees shedding their leaves as the seasons change and the nights drawing in, it’s clear that the best of summer is long begin is.
However, there’s good news for sun seekers. The heatwave is not going to end just yet.
According to the Met Office, the sun will shine this weekend.
At 8am on Saturday, it will be sunny and around 18C in the town. Warrington will warm further by 11am as the mercury rises to 21C.
Temperatures peak by 2pm with a 24C burst of sunshine stretching for four hours.
Outside spaces popular with families such as Walton Gardens south or the town are likely to be bursting at the seams this Saturday as the warm conditions prove a tempting draw.
Other enduringly beautiful places to visit include Sankey Valley Park, Culcheth Linear Park and Risley Moss nature reserve. Woolston Eyes and Moore Nature Reserve will be busy with dog walkers, families and joggers enjoying the heat.
Further afield, the Wirral coast, Blackpool and Lytham and North Wales are sure to be a hotspot for day trippers, too.
There’s more sunshine to come all day on Saturday as forecasters predict temperatures to rise up to around 25C.
And although Sunday’s forecast is less sunny, it’s likely to remain warm if a little stormy with showers.
According to the meteorologists, the heatwave will peak on Saturday afternoon – potentially for the last time this year.
Sunday is expected to remain warm at around 20C but showers and sun are forecast bringing the blast of heat to a halt. Thundery showers with light winds are expected.
Temperatures, meanwhile, on Monday in Warrington will return to a more autumnal average of 16C.
Make the most of it while it lasts!
