Orford woman charged with sex offence involving teenage boy at care home

DETECTIVES have charged two people, including a 43-year-old woman from Orford, Warrington, in connection with an alleged sex offence involving a teenage boy at a privately-run care home.

Lindy Leah, 43, of Capesthorne Road, Warrington, was charged with abuse of position of trust – causing/inciting sexual activity with a boy aged 13 to 17 at a care home in St Helens and being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs (cannabis and ketamin).

Morgan Quigley, 27, of Cooperage Close, Toxteth was charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug (ketamine).

A 49-year-old woman from Warrington was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of ketamine and assisting an offender. She is on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Leah and Quigley appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court today, Friday 6 September. Leah has been further remanded into custody and Quigley has been conditionally bailed. Both are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 4 October.
