THREE men have been arrested at Warrington following the discovery of three separate hauls of cannabis.
A cannabis factory with 100 mature plants was found at a house in Cabul Close on Tuesday, 12 more plants were found at a house in Scott Street on Wednesday and yesterday (Thursday) a third discovery was made at a house in Toll Bar Road.
Three men aged 36, 29 and 21 were arrested and released on bail after being questioned.
Sergeant Paul Flynn, of Cheshire Police, said: “We are committed to tackling the issue of illegal drugs in the local community and we will not tolerate any sort of behaviour that has a negative impact on the lives of others.
“Suspected drug related activity will not be tolerated in the Warrington area – this sort of behaviour is not acceptable and residents can rest assured that positive action will be taken against anyone found to be involved in drug use or supply.
“We hope that our continued efforts not only reinforce our commitment to tackling the issue but also help to reassure the local community that we take the issue extremely seriously.
“We would urge anyone who has any concerns about illegal drugs in the area to get in touch with us directly by calling 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
In each case, cannabis plants and equipment used for cultivating them were seized and taken away for forensic examination.
